Camping

Hi Guys

We're planning on coming along for the weekend, but just wanted to know if the camping pitch is for tents only as we have a caravan.

Cheers

GS

Hi GS

Your caravan will be fine with your free 1 pitch camping pass.  As far as we're concerned 1 pitch = 1 tent of any size or 1 caravan or 1 campervan.

Any other questions please ask away!

Canine Companion

Hi there

We're coming along to the show but not sure whether to put our pooch in doggy jail for the weekend.  Are dogs allowed at the show?

Thanks and see you there

Rick

Hi Rick

Your canine companion will be glad to hear that he is more than welcome at the show, provided that he stays on his lead at all times.

See you at the show

Family 4x4

Hello
This is the first time I've ever been to one of these events and I'm hoping to explore the circuit for the Family 4x4's as I have a Volvo xc90 I'd like to challenge a bit.

Can you tell me if there is anything I should bring to be on the safe side (wellies and first aid kit taken as read) - but if things get embarrassing - what sort of help is on hand ?

Thanks
I

Hi

Great to hear that you’ve chosen TOR Live as your first off road event experience!  I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

You are right about the wellies and first aid kit, they’re a good idea!  With regard to emergencies ‘mud-wise’ there will be plenty of help on hand.  Marshalls will be driving around the circuits at all times, to be on hand to help with any winching etc that is necessary.  You might also find if you do get stuck, other event-goers with winches will help you out – it’s all part of the fun!

Clearly, off-roading on lanes or byways where you could get stuck out in the sticks requires you to make sure you have your own winch, anchors, torches and so on, but at Kirton you will be quite safe just bringing yourselves, your 4x4 and your personal protection from the elements!

Do let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards

Buy on the day

Hi
Can we pay on the day as work may prevent me from going, so dont want to advance book & then not be able to go.
Regards
Adam

Hi Adam

Yes you certainly can buy day or weekend tickets on the day.  Arrive at Kirton Off Road Centre on the Friday or Saturday to buy your weekend tickets, Saturday morning for Saturday day tickets or Sunday morning for Sunday day tickets.  You can pay with cash or by credit/debit card.

Hope to see you there!

Camping-only

If we only want to camp for the weekend and just watch the fun and not off road will it be £15.00?

Yes, if you only require camping passes and no vehicle passes for off-roading, you will only need to purchase camping tickets for £5 per night.

We don't want to camp

I'd like my family to come along to the show with me, but they don't want to 'rough it' with us campers.  Is there anywhere close by to stay?

Certainly.  We recommend The George in Kirton in Lindsay who offer bed and breakfast.  You can check out their website for more information - www.thegeorgekirton.co.uk

Late arrivals

Looking forward to the weekend, but what is the latest I can arrive on the Friday evening, tight **** boss wont allow the day off!

Don't worry, we'll be up late on Friday letting people in until at least after dark!  There'll certainly be someone on the gate until 11pm.

See you there!

Hi Guys
Looking at coming to TOR Live this year as my first off road show. Family want to come along and mum especially wanted to know what sort of ablutions are available ie: showers, toilets etc.
Look forward to hearing from you
Chris

Hi Chris,

At Kirton Off Road Centre there are flushing toilets (and toilet roll!), sinks with running water and soap, and showers also available.  There is also a family-friendly restaurant serving breakfasts and other hot food.  You can find out more at www.korc.co.uk
